The Chinese state company Sinohydro will build a hydropower plant (HPP) with a capacity of 108 megawatts in Iran upon the agreement worth $1.5 billion, the Fars news agency reported.
The project envisages construction of 110-meter dam. The construction term should be 60 months.
Currently, the installed capacity of Iran's HPPs is about 7,700 megawatts. The country has 44 HPPs with 109 power units.
