Four companies are involved in the final stage of a tender to attract a consultant to create a specialized structure for providing services and products of Islamic banking in the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA).

Four companies are involved in the final stage of a tender to attract a consultant to create a specialized structure for providing services and products of Islamic banking in the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA).

"Four of the seven companies reached the final part of the tender - the consortium Ekvita & Islamic Finance Advisory Assurance Services, Ernst & Young with Baker McKenzie, PriceWaterHouse and the consortium of Salans, Pinsent Masons and KPMG," the bank said.

On Monday, a meeting was held with representatives of companies in the bank's head office.

"We will call the winner's name and proceed to the registration of the contract within the next week," the head of the working group on introduction the Islamic banking in the IBA Behnam Gurbanzade said.
"The IBA together with the consultant will implement the project from July 1, 2011."
