Newly launched Persian TV channel prepares to broadcast

The Associated Persian Channel covering three Islamic countries- Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan is preparing to broadcast.

The probationary broadcast of the channel called Novruz, is going to start within the next few days. This was reported to the Mehr agency by the ambassador of Iran to Tajikistan Ali Askar Sherdust.

The channel will be located in a new building constructed by Iran near the Tajik State TV Radio Committee in Dushanbe.

Equipment purchased in Germany and Holland is currently being installed, the ambassador stated.

He added the channel is going to conduct eight hour long broadcasts for each of the three countries.

The agreement on the launch of the Associated Persian Channel between Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan was signed in 2007.
