Ukrainian citizens in Azerbaijan able to vote in elections to Verkhovna Rada

Elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will take place at a high level, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Rustam Rustamov believes.

"Representatives of 22 Ukrainian political parties will take part in the elections watched by international observers. The OSCE Mission in its interim report assessed the pre-election situation in the country as normal," Rustamov told journalists at a press conference on Wednesday.

He said representatives from Azerbaijan are among the observers.

Today 210 Ukrainian citizens either temporarily residing or working in Azerbaijan are registered in a consular record at the embassy in Azerbaijan, Rustamov said.

On October 28, the day of the election of people's deputies of Ukraine, the country's citizens temporarily residing in the territory of Azerbaijan, will be able to vote at a polling station set up at the Ukrainian Embassy in Baku.

Ukrainian citizens, who live or are in the Republic of Azerbaijan, may vote at polling station No.900003 at the Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan at: Street Y.Chemenzaminli, 49, Baku. The voter should have documents to prove citizenship of Ukraine.
