The court found Kazakh border guard Vladislav Chelakh guilty of killing 15 people at border post Arkankergen on the border with China and sentenced to life imprisonment in the colony of special regime, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
Some 15 bodies were found at the Arkankergen border post in late May including 14 border guards and a ranger. A border guard Vladislav Chelakh confessed that he killed his colleagues. However, later he refuted this confession and said the border post had been attacked.
Earlier Chelakh refused to pronounce the last plea and to participate in the pleading due to distrust to the court.
