Kazakh KazTransGas and Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation are working on development of a financial model for the return of management over KazTransGaz to Tbilgaz, the director of the Department of Transport of Oil and Gas of National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna, Kuanysh Zhylkishiev informed.
"There are certain conditions under which the KazTransGaz can return to management over TbilGas." KazTransGaz and Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation have been instructed by the governments of two countries to develop an appropriate financial model, reflecting conditions and rates at which KazTransGas is to return to management over gas distribution station, " Zhylkishiev said.
According to him, during recent negotiations between the two governments, the Georgian side expressed interest in returning management over Tbilgaz to KazTransGaz.
"Since 2009 management over the station was undertaken by temporary manager appointed by Georgian government; despite mild conditions created for him, he managed to make a lot of debt. In March, 2013, his responsibilities as of an interim manager will come to an end," Zhylkishiev said.
