Parliamentary speaker Usupashvili has accepted Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's proposal regarding a dialogue on the constitutional changes draft. He told this to journalists on Monday.

Usupashvili said he will meet with the President and minority leader David Bakradze this evening.

The speaker noted he expects progress on the issues discussed at today's meeting.

"At the meeting, we will discuss all questions of interest to the president and his team. Along with this, we expect progress in connection with central issues relating to constitutional amendments, which should open the way to all other areas," Usupashvili said.

He said the changes regarding the limitation of the president's powers and the parliament's location will be considered separately.

In addition, Usupashvili reminded colleagues from the minority that making a decision is the prerogative of the majority, and they are not going to give it up.

At this stage, Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili will not take part in the meeting, although he agreed to join in on the process.
