Every day negotiations on constitutional changes bring us closer to possible agreement between the parliamentary majority and minority, the Georgian Parliament's minority leader David Bakradze said following the current round of negotiations with Speaker David Usupashvili.

However, he did not go into details of the negotiations, stressing that the public will be informed about it only after their completion.

"This is a working process accompanied by some difficulties because the parties' positions are diametrically opposed. Based on the complex situation in the whole country, the process is being extended, although every day we get closer to a common denominator," Bakradze said.

The parliamentary minority and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili seek to preserve parliament in Kutaisi, fixing Georgia's European course in the Constitution. A whole majority is required for limiting the president's powers to dissolve the government and parliament of Georgia.
