British Prime Minister David Cameron will discuss Iran's nuclear program with German Chancellor Angela Merkel during his two-day visit to Germany next week, Press TV reported.

Deputy German Government Spokesman Georg Streiter said that the two-day visit planned for April 12 -13 will also focus on the situation in Syria and an upcoming G8 summit.

Cameron's visit follows the second round of comprehensive talks between Iran and the P5+1, which consists of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

After the negotiations, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Saeed Jalili said in a statement that the Iranian side tabled its proposals to help the talks "proceed in a constructive fashion".

The Iranian top nuclear negotiator later said in an exclusive interview with Press TV on Saturday that Iran believes "no one should possess nuclear weapons".

His comment came on the heels of a plan unveiled by the British PM for renewing Britain's fleet of Vanguard-class submarines with more sophisticated nuclear systems.

Britain now keeps four Vanguard-class submarines in active duty with each of them armed with up to 16 Trident missiles and 40 nuclear warheads.

In the interview, Jalili condemned the west's double approach to the nuclear issue stressing certain countries explicitly possess nuclear warheads and carry out military nuclear tests, while others are barred from developing nuclear energy for civilian purposes.
