Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is on a working visit to the U.S., awarded St. George's Victory Order to former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Saakashvili presented the Order to the former U.S. president for the contribution made to strengthening of bilateral relations and special support for Georgia, Georgia's presidential administration reported on Saturday.

"You were able to change much of the world. Few people could change the world for the better in such a short time. You've worked on the issues of social justice. I think you were able to save such small countries, as ours. You are a historical figure not only for the U.S., but for the whole world," Saakashvili said at the awards ceremony.

In turn, Clinton thanked Saakashvili for the award, noting that it was an honor for him to receive it.
