President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Prime Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy Brey in Vilnius.
Mariano Rajoy Brey congratulated the Head of State on his reelection as President of Azerbaijan, and wished him successes in his activities. The Premier also conveyed greetings of the King of Spain to President Ilham Aliyev.
They said there was good potential for expanding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Spain.
The Azerbaijani leader and the Spanish Premier noted the two countries were successfully cooperating within international organizations, including the UN.
President Ilham Aliyev and PM Mariano Rajoy Brey widely discussed how to expand the bilateral ties in a variety of fields of economy, including business, construction, agriculture and energy.
They also stressed the importance of reciprocal visits, and discussed other issues of mutual concern.
The Head of State asked PM Mariano Rajoy Brey to pass on his greetings to the King of Spain.
