Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze praised Georgia's presidency in the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.

"Georgia's priorities during its presidency in GUAM PA were the cooperation with partners and strengthening of political cooperation among the member-states," Panjikidze said at the sixth meeting of the GUAM PA in Tbilisi on Monday.

She stressed GUAM's significant achievements over the past year and priorities for the future.

"Georgia did everything to strengthen the cooperation in the regional format during its presidency in GUAM," Pandzhikidze added.

"Our priority in GUAM was to strengthen the political cooperation, basic principles such as solidarity and consensus," she said. "We could not cope with common challenges and protect our common interests without strong political will. GUAM's political statements have been never as strong as this year."

In her speech, Panjikidze stressed GUAM's challenges.

"The conflicts in the GUAM countries negatively affect the region and international security," Panjikidze stressed.
