Azerbaijani MPs consider the policy pursued within the EU Eastern Partnership program successful.
While commenting on the Vilnius summit and the consequent situation at a plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament on Tuesday, MP Zahid Oruj said that recent events in Ukraine proved that Azerbaijan is pursuing the right policy in this area.
MP Fazil Mustafa also considers Azerbaijan's foreign policy towards the EU successful.
"The actions taken by Azerbaijan at the Vilnius summit, I regard as the success of the country's foreign policy," Mustafa added.
"Ukrainian events proved the inevitability of European integration and one must not forget about this," he said.
While speaking about the success of this policy, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said that Azerbaijan must be cautious in its policy with Russia in the future.
"I reiterate that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue can be solved only with Russia," he said. "Armenia does not play any role in this conflict settlement. Therefore, together with Russia we must solve the problem."
