Austrian companies are interested in exporting technology to Azerbaijan, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Richard Schenz said at the Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum in Baku today.

Austrian companies are interested in exporting technology to Azerbaijan, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Richard Schenz said at the Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum in Baku today.

"Our delegation includes representatives of 19 Austrian companies," Schenz said. "I believe our entrepreneurs can contribute towards Azerbaijan's development."

"The two presidents' mutual visits will also have a positive effect on the development of bilateral cooperation and allow us to look to the future with optimism," he added.

"Austria is interested in making investments in the construction sector and in particular in building, engineering technology and construction material production," he said. "Austrian specialists also have rich experience and qualification in the field of tourism, including winter tourism and erection of relevant facilities."

According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Austria amounted to $333.46 million in January-October 2013.

Most of the volume falls to the export of Azerbaijani goods to Austria which is around $253.88 million. Austrian goods worth $79.58 million were imported to Azerbaijan.
