By Umid Niayesh - Trend:

Iran's missiles are hidden all around the country, ready to launch, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said, Fars news agency reported on Dec. 12.

Jafari went on to say that Iran's missile power is one of the country's deterrent capabilities against the threats.

"Iran uses a special method for maintenance of its missiles," he added. "Enemy can not damage Iran's missile power, even with thousands of bombs," Jafari underlined.

The top commander also said that IRGC's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) have been armed by bombs as well as guided missiles.

The production process of Iran's RQ-170 UAV using reverse engineering will be finalized soon, Jafari said, expressing hope that Iran would unveil it in the near future.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defence sector and has attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries since the Islamic Republic's defence doctrine is based entirely on deterrence.
