President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today hosted an ehsan dinner commemorating the anniversary of the death of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
President Aliyev, his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as public figures from all cities and districts of the country attended the event.
The event kicked off with the recitation of verses from the Quran.
Addressing the event, the president highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev`s services before the Azerbaijani people, and his contributions to strengthening the country`s independence and developing its statehood.
Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh also delivered a speech at the dinner.
