Iran has equipped all its nuclear facilities with a new home-made surveillance system, Commander of Iran's Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli announced, and added that an advanced anti-cruise missile system has also been built by Iranian experts, Fars news agency reported.

"All the sensitive and nuclear centers have been equipped with the Raased 32 surveillance system," Esmayeeli said in a press conference in Tehran on Saturday.

He also said that "Saafaat 1 cannon system has been built and launched to counter incoming cruise missiles which are equipped with electro-optic systems".

In relevant remarks in February, Lieutenant Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base General Shahrokh Shahram said Iran's air defense systems are fully prepared to defend the country against any possible enemy aggression, and assured the nation of impenetrability and security of Iran's nuclear sites and facilities.

"Today, we have acquired the defense capability to make vital infrastructure, specially nuclear installations, completely impregnable and impenetrable," the commander said at the time.

Iran has tested the impenetrability of its nuclear sites with various weapons and tactics in different military drills, the commander said, adding that it can now be assured that the country has reached the capability to defend its sensitive sites with an indigenous defense system in the best possible way.
