Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze who is on an official visit to Spain had an audience with Queen Sofia.
During the meeting the parties expressed mutual desire to deepen relations between the two countries, Georgian Foreign Ministry said on Dec.18.
Maia Panjikidze invited her Majesty to visit Georgia. Queen Sofia met this proposal with interest.
During her visit to Madrid, the Georgian Foreign Minister will meet with representatives of the executive and legislative power of Spain, as well as with her Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Garcia and will make a speech at one of Madrid's research centers.
