Georgian PM urges state institutions not to spend budget funds to New Year parties

Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec. 25

By Nana Kirtzkhlia - Trend:

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili urged the state institutions not to spend budget funds on holding New Year corporate parties.

"Based on the fact that we pay particular attention to rational expenditure of budgetary funds, I urge the government agencies, legal entities of public law and non-business entities not to use budget funds for corporate events," according to Georgian PM's statement.

He said the Georgian government fully realizes the public servants' liabilities to the law and the state, and believes that this decision is a step forward in the country's democratic development.
