Suspected Lebanese militants launched two Katyusha rockets at northern Israel early Sunday, a military spokeswoman said.
Two explosions were heard. One rocket struck near the community of Qiryat Shmona. A second apparently fell on the Lebanese side of the border, dpa reported.
No immediate injuries or damage were reported, but it was the first incident in months along the normally calm, but often tense, Israeli-Lebanese border.
Israeli forces responded with artillery fire toward the source of the launch, the military said.
