The official exchange rate of the Uzbek soum set by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan fell by 10.9 percent in 2013 versus the U.S. dollar, from 1985.46 soums/$1 on January 1, 2013 to 2202.20 soums/$1 on January 1, 2014.
In 2012 the national currency's rate versus the U.S. dollar fell by 9.6 percent from 1795 soums/$1 to 1985.46 soums/$1. In 2011 this rate fell by 9.5 percent from 1640 soums/$1 to 1795 soums/$1. In 2010 Uzbek national currency's rate fell by 8.5 percent from 1511.4 soum/$1 to 1640 soum/$1 and in 2009 this rate also fell by 8.5 percent from 1393 soums/$1 to 1511.4 soums/$1.
In 2013 the Uzbek soum's rate versus the euro decreased by 15.5 percent and by 12.1 percent in 2012, from 2625.93 soums/one euro to 3031.90 soums/one euro.
Uzbek national currency's rate versus the Russian rouble decreased by 3.6 percent (13.4 percent in the previous year) from 65.14 soums/one rouble to 67.49 soums/one rouble.
The rate of the soum to one Chinese yuan fell by 14 percent (12.3 percent a year earlier) from 318.60 soums/one yuan to 363.17 soums/one yuan.
