Education, the rule of law and regional development are the main priorities of cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan, the new head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Malena Mard, who took office this year said at a meeting with journalists on Jan. 8.

She said education is one of the most important priorities.

With the help of exchange programmes Azerbaijani youth has the opportunity to receive an education in many European cities, but there is still a lot of work to do in this direction, Mard said.

Speaking about pre-school education, Malena Mard noted the importance of this sector and added that attention towards this area will be increased.
