Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with PACE co-rapporteurs Aastrup Jensen and Boriss Cilevics, the Georgian presidential administration said on Jan.14.

The parties discussed the political processes in the country after the presidential elections, as well as the issues of domestic and foreign policy, such as contribution to the process of restoration of justice, the protection of minority rights by the state, the Georgian-Russian relations, the path of Georgia from the initialing to signing of an association agreement with the EU and the steps for integration with Euro-Atlantic institutions.

The president thanked the guests for the support of the CE in the democratic development of Georgia.

The Georgian president`s advisor for foreign relations, Vano Matchavariani and Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe Konstantin Korkelia participated at the meeting.
