Azerbaijani ambassador to Switzerland Akram Zeynalli met with the newly elected Swiss President Didier Burkhalter, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said today.
Zeynalli conveyed President Burkhalter sincere greetings and best wishes from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and congratulated him on his being elected president.
President Burkhalter extended his thanks for the greetings and good wishes and asked the ambassador to convey his sincere greetings to President Aliyev.
President Burkhalter wished success and prosperity in 2014 to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people.
