Georgian Interior Ministry and British National Agency sign memorandum of cooperation

Tbilisi, Georgia, Jan. 25
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

The Georgian Interior Ministry and the British National Crime Agency signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed by the heads of the ministry and the agency Alexander Chikaidze and Tim Symington in London.

The memorandum envisages cooperation in the fight against the organized crime (drug offenses, trafficking, cybercrime) and the exchange of information, the Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend on Friday.

Chikaidze and Symington discussed the cooperation prospects and plans for the future.

Chikaidze had an introductory meeting at Scotland Yard as part of his visit to Great Britain. Chikaidze examined the operational control center of London police and was informed about the incident response.

The minister was also invited to a working lunch with former British Ambassador to Georgia Judith Gough.
