The trial of Iranian minister was held in a criminal court in Tehran on Jan. 28, Iran's Mehr news agency reported.

The name of the minister was not disclosed.

The minister was summoned to appear before the court to face charges from his term as deputy minister during the administration of the former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The complaint against the minister has been filled by one of Iran's supervisory organisations, the report said.

The minister himself was not in the court, and was represented by two of his advocates.

There is no further information about the result of the trial.
