Turkmen-Israeli political consultations have been held in Jerusalem, the Turkmen government said on Feb. 5.

'A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Turkmen and Israeli foreign ministries during the consultations', the report says.

They exchanged the views on international issues.

Moreover, the sides discussed the priority areas of cooperation in the political and trade and economic spheres during the meeting.

Turkmen Ambassador to Turkey Ata Serdarov (as well as to Israel) delivered his credentials to Israeli President Shimon Peres earlier. During a meeting in Tel Aviv, the Israeli president asked the Turkmen diplomat to convey warm greetings and good wishes to his Turkmen counterpart.
