Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 10

By Ilhame Isabalayeva - Trend:

Azerbaijan has made amendments to the rules on admission to secondary specialised educational institutions on the basis of a nine-year education, according to a message from the State Students Admission Commission of Azerbaijan (SSAC).

Competition for admission to the secondary specialised educational institutions on the basis of a nine-year education in 2014 will be conducted based on the results of final school examinations in line with the amendments, according to the message.

In particular, the ninth-grade graduates wishing to participate in the competition to be admitted to the secondary special educational institutions will be able to choose a specialty based on the final exams. That is, no separate exams will be conducted for admission of ninth-grade graduates to secondary special education institutions.

The separate examinations will be held only for the ninth-grade graduates of previous years, according to the message. The exams are scheduled for June 29, 2014.

Those wishing to be admitted will be required to pass the exams only in two subjects, the mother language and mathematics.
