New standards will be implemented in Turkey with regard to the drivers of buses and taxis, Turkish newspaper Zaman reported on Feb. 10.
The drivers of buses and taxis will also be required to comply with personal hygiene rules, according to the new standards.
Drivers will not be allowed to talk with passengers, turn on music, use heating and air conditioning without the passengers' permission. Taxi drivers will also be prohibited from transferring personal information about passengers to others.
The drivers of buses and taxis will take special training after which they will be given certificates, the newspaper said.
