The calendar adjusted industrial production index of Turkey increased 7.1 percent in December 2013 compared to December 2012, while seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production index remained same compared to November, 2013 Worldbulletin reported .
TurkStat, Turkey's statistics authority, announced on Monday the figures of the Industrial Production Index for December 2013.
In the sub-sectors of the industry (2010=100), mining and quarrying index increased 3.7 percent and manufacturing index increased 7.4 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index rose 6.5 percent in December 2013, compared to December 2012.
Calendar adjusted industrial production remained same in December 2013 compared to the previous month.
In the sub-sectors of the industry (2010=100), mining and quarrying increased by 2.9 percent, manufacturing decreased by 0.6 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 2.8 percent in December 2013, compared with the previous month.
In seasonally and calendar adjusted main industrial groupings, the largest increase was in energy by 2.7 percent in December 2013 compared to the previous month.
Annual calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 3.4 percent compared with the average of the previous year
In the sub-sectors of the industry (2010=100), mining and quarrying decreased by 3.4 percent, manufacturing increased by 4.3 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index by 0.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013, compared with the average of the previous year.
