An earthquake hit the Caspian Sea today at 16:17:12 local time, Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told Trend.

The tremors were not felt on land. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 62 kilometers, was 3.2 point strength.

It should be noted that today an earthquake hit the Hajigabul district of Azerbaijan.

The tremors were felt.

The earthquake's strength was 5.7 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was at a depth of 55 kilometers.

At the epicenter the tremors strength was closer to six points on the Richter scale.

In various regions of the country the tremors' strength ranged from three to five points.

There were no casualties or damage.

Also Azerbaijani Cenub TV reported that tremors measuring 3.5 points have also been recorded in Azerbaijan's southern district of Lankaran.

This earthquake was mostly felt in Lankaran's south-east.
