Deputy of the Prime Minister and the minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev and Khakim of Almaty, Akhmetzhan Yesimov signed a memorandum about cooperation in the sphere of tourism between the Ministry and the Akimat (executive authority) on Feb. 10.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the sides agreed to cooperate on popularization of tourist sightseeings in Almaty, in particular, presentations of commercial materials at Kazakh and international tourist exhibitions.
The Ministry and the Almaty Akimat will interact within the framework of the development of internal and external tourism, and also cooperate in events directed at the establishment and improvement of the tourist image, refinement of the quality of products and services, attracting investments and increase the qualification of employees in the tourist sphere and development of stable tourism.
The sides decided to interact within the framework of the implementation of the systematic plan of the development of tourism of Almaty City, and also by providing coordination of program documents regulating the development of the tourist field.
The Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry and Almaty City Akimat continue the implementation of events on the development of tourism within the framework of the preparation for the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.
It is planned to install the system of tourist orientation (stage by stage) in the center of the city. First of all, 105 totems, 106 street signs and 20 racks will be installed on the streets Kunayev, Furmanov, Panfilov, Ablay khan and Zheltoksan. The installation of 650 signs on buildings continues. Currently, the nameplates at the avenue Dostyk and the streets Furmanov and Pushkin have been installed.
As chair of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Tourism Marat Igaliyev noted, this event is being conducted within the framework of deputy of the PM - minister of industry and new technologies of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev`s orders. The concept of the development of tourism sphere of Kazakhstan will be adopted at a governmental level this year. Currently, the discussion of this project continues in regions.
