Turkish citizens living abroad will be able to participate in municipal elections, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the session of the ruling party, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Feb.11.
Turkish citizens living abroad will vote in embassies and consulates of Turkey in these countries, according to Erdogan.
"Currently, preparations are being conducted in Turkey for municipal elections," Erdogan said.
The municipal elections in Turkey will be held on March 30. The main competition is expected to be between the ruling Justice and Development Party and the Republican People's Party.
