Former Secretary of State to Kazakhstan, Marat Tajin, has been appointed Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Acorda website reported.

'"Marat Tajin has been appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia in accordance with the president's decree', the Acorda website said.

Marat Tajin headed National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2001), was an assistant to the president - Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2002-2006), Foreign Minister (2007-2009) and Secretary of the State of Kazakhstan (January 16, 2013 - January 21, 2014).
