The commander of the Quds Force, Major-General Qassem Soleimani said on Feb. 13 that there is no a nation that could lead the Muslim world, except for Iran.

Soleimani, who heads Quds Force, a division of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said some countries such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have leadership over the global Muslim community in various periods of history, but none of them has been able to undertake this "heavy and dangerous" responsibility, the Fars News Agency reported.

Soleimani went on to say that the lack of two elements in the mentioned nations is the cause of their failure in leading the Muslim world; the first element being the provision of support for international revolutionary Islamic movements and the second is their protection against any enemy's violations or strikes.

Soleimani said that these two elements are exclusively inherent to Iran.
