ADA University's Caspian Center for Energy and Environment and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will hold the 8th Baku Summer Energy School (BSES) on July 5-18, 2014.

The BSES has announced the receipt of applications for 2014, the ADA University's Caspian Center for Energy and Environment told Trend.

The applications will be received till April 23.

The BSES will be attended by the representatives of the SOCAR, Azerbaijani Energy Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, as well as, such energy companies as the BP, Statoil, ExxonMobil, Total and Lukoil.

The BSES covers such topics as energy, energy law, energy economy and policy, impact to the environment and strategic management.

The BSES program will attach a special importance to the Caspian Sea basin, especially development of the regional pipeline network, the Caspian Sea's legal status and other similar issues.

The program will especially stress the issues such as income and resource management.

Each year the BSES creates wide meeting and discussion opportunities for the leaders of the public and private sectors of Azerbaijan and other Caspian littoral states.
