Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have today observed construction of National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Azad Rahimov, informed the head of state and his spouse of the work carried out at the arena.
Rahimov said the facility will host different sporting and other events. The minister said there was a special complex for conducting trainings for gymnasts. Rahimov said the capacity of the 6,000-seat facility can be increased to 9,600 seats.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva then watched the training of gymnasts.
