Second day of talks between Iran, P5+1 kick off in Vienna

The second day of talks between Iran and the P5+1 kicked off on Feb. 19 in the Austrian capital of Vienna, EU's Foreign Policy Chief Spokesman Michael Mann wrote on his Twitter page, according to RIA Novosti.

Talks on Iran's nuclear program in Vienna restarted on Wednesday morning at 10:30 with a plenary session chaired by Helga Schmid and Abbas Araghchi, according to his post.

During the first day of negotiations, the parties held a series of bilateral meetings and two plenary sessions. Earlier, the diplomats said the purpose of this round of talks is to formulate topics and determine the frequency of further negotiations between the P5+1 and Iran in order to develop a comprehensive agreement to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.

In November 2013, Tehran and P5+1 agreed on a partial suspension of Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for relief of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

The parties started implementing the agreement on Jan. 20. The parties must now begin a discussion for a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
