Ukrainian Rada adopts law on restitution of 2004 constitution

Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine has adopted a law on the restitution of Ukraine's Constitution of 2004, RIA Novosti reported.

The draft law was considered without prior discussion. The country's President Viktor Yanukovych declared that he has initiated the return to the constitution of 2004 with the redistribution of powers towards a parliamentary republic and early presidential elections in the country. In addition, the president called for beginning the process of forming a government of national trust in Ukraine. Later, President Yanukovych and the opposition representatives signed an agreement on ending the crisis in the country.
