Viktor Yanukovych, who has declared his legitimacy as Ukraine's president, said he will not participate in the pre-term presidential elections to be held on May 25 in Ukraine, because he considers these elections illegal, RIA Novosti reported on Feb. 28.
"As for the May 25 elections, I believe that they are illegal and I will not participate in them," he said at a press conference in Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
He said "all elections here should be held in accordance with Ukraine's laws and constitution".
