Tehran will host a joint meeting among the parliamentary delegations of Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, head of Iranian Parliament's National Security committee, Alaedin Boroujerdi, said on March 2, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported.

"The meeting will be held on March 10," he said.

Boroujerdi visited Syria and Lebanon earlier this week. During his visit, the Iranian lawmaker held several meetings with high-ranking Syrian and Lebanese officials.

"Tehran supports Beirut's attempts at countering terrorism and backs unity, stability and resistance in both Lebanon and Syria," Boroujerdi said in Lebanon.

He went on to note that Iran's success in the international scene will definitely have positive effects on regional unity and security.

"Iran's support for Lebanon's resistance movement Hezbollah is non-negotiable," he said, adding that Tehran will not trade its defense of Hezbollah with anything else.
