On March 5, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the newly appointed ambassador of Czech Republic, Vitezslav Pivonka, according to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov congratulated Ambassador Vitezslav Pivonka on his new assignment and wished him success in his activities.
During the meeting the parties expressed satisfaction with the current status of relations between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic and stressed the importance of promoting cooperation in the areas of economy and tourism.
In this regard, the important role of parliamentary cooperation in development of relations between two countries was emphasized.
Ambassador Vitezslav Pivonka added that he would do all his best to contribute to further development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic.
The ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
