Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Omani King Sultan Qaboos discussed issues of mutual interests as well as ways for the further expansion of bilateral ties between the two countries as they met in Muscat on March 12, Iran's ISNA news agency reported.
During a meeting held in the Omani capital city of Muscat, the two sides highlighted boosting bilateral ties and implementation of agreements already signed between the two countries during Qaboos's previous trip to Iran.
Rouhani arrived in Oman at the top of a delegation for an official two-day visit in Oman.
They also stressed cooperation on shipping line, customs, monetary, environment, tourism and scientific areas.
Rouhani and Sultan Qaboos discussed regional issues, and highlighted boosting cooperation among countries to reduce regional tensions.
