Azerbaijan is interested in establishing ties with the regions of Italy, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, Khalaf Khalafov said on March 14.
Khalafov made the remarks at a meeting with a delegation led by president of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Debora Serracchiani.
During the meeting the deputy minister expressed his satisfaction with the current level of Azerbaijan-Italy relations.
In turn, Serracchiani also expressing satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan highlighted the interest of the region represented by the delegation to cooperate in the areas of energy, environment, education, health and industry.
During the meeting Khalafov stressed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation in the mentioned areas.
