Iranian parliament members are collecting signatures to make a statement, IRNA reported on March 16.
The statement's purpose is to preserve Iran's right for peaceful development of its nuclear program, and over 200 MPs have already signed it, according to the report.
The statement says Iran is a member of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has fulfilled all its provisions.
The country wants to use nuclear energy in peaceful purposes as envisaged in the NPT's second provision, the MPs said.
"This right of Iran has been recognized by all states and the country wants only this," according to Iranian MPs.
The parliament members also said they want Iranian delegation in nuclear talks not to step back from Iran's right to use nuclear energy in peaceful purposes.
The MPs said that if the negotiators reach an agreement contradicting the NPT, especially contradicting the development of Arak heavy-water reactor, they will not accept this in order to protect Iranian people's interests.
"Iranian negotiators should prevent moving the focus of talks towards the country's rocket programs," the MPs also said.
Iranian parliament members added that they will accept the results of talks if they correspond to the NPT.
