Oxfam organization (Great Britain) in Georgia and the Biological Farming Association Elkana will hold the Farmers Congress "Family farms and food security amid the global climate change" on March 28.

The event is being held as part of the EU-funded regional project "Improving a national strategy for food security and support for smallholder farmers". The main purpose of the congress is to discuss the problems of smallholder farmers and women farmers in the context of protecting food security and amid the global climate change.

The subject of the Congress includes two global campaigns, namely, Oxfam campaign "Food and Climate Change in 2014-2015" and the UN World Farmers Forum campaign "International Year of Family Farms in 2014".

The Congress will be held in Didube Plaza at 10.00.
