Part of the Tehran-Chalush highway collapsed in Iran's highlands (Mazandaran province) on the night of March 30, as a result of which one car was damaged, two people died, Iranian Mehr news agency reported on March 31.
Thousands of cars were caught in a traffic jam stretching over ten kilometers that occurred as a result of the accident.
The work on clearing the road continued until morning when it re-opened for traffic.
