Russian and Kazakh foreign ministries signed a cooperation plan for 2014, RIA Novosti reported.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Idrisov signed the document during a meeting in Moscow on April 3.

During a press conference following the meeting, Kazah foreign minister said that his Russian counterpart Lavrov would visit Kazakhstan in the second half of 2014.

"Sergey Lavrov traditionally accepted our invitation to visit Kazakhstan with an official visit in the second half of the year," he said.

The trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 5 percent and reached $26.5 billion in 2013 - its highest level ever, Sergey Lavrov said following the meeting, ITAR-TASS reported.
