Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania attended the Georgian Hero Giorgi Antsukhelidze sergeant training center on April 3. The minister personally inspected the infrastructure, construction and repair work at the center, the ministry told Trend on April 3.

Commander, Maj. Lasha Davitadze informed the minister about the conducted and current operations at the center. The main building has been already repaired. It is being equipped with the necessary equipment. There will be the classrooms, conference-halls, a gym, and a library in the administrative building.

"Last year, we established the Giorgi Antsukhelidze sergeant training center in Kodjori," he said. "I want to say that this center will differ not only locally but also internationally. The representatives of the sergeant corps of Europe and NATO will attend our school this year. This is a great achievement. The sergeant corps is a priority for us."

The head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze, his deputy, Colonel Vladimir Chachibaya, Deputy Minister Alexi Batiashvili and Sergeant Major Aluda Kopaliani also attended.
