Revision of Russia's authorities, approved by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be discussed on April 10, according to PACE President, Anne Brasseur.
She made the remarks on Monday, April 7 at the opening of the PACE Spring Session.
Brasseur said the PACE Bureau on Monday morning discussed the revision of Russian delegation's authorities.
She stressed that two proposals were presented to regarding the issue, but the bureau decided to redirect this matter to the relevant committee.
"The monitoring committee will prepare a draft resolution on this issue and submit it to the PACE plenary session on Thursday. Thus, this issue will be discussed on the basis of the draft resolution. Russian delegation has no right to vote in the discussions on its authorities, according to Article 9.5 of the PACE Charter," she added.
PACE president also condemned Russia's actions in Ukraine and Crimea's annexation.
"It is contrary to international agreements and international law as well as Russia's obligations and goals to the Council of Europe," she said.
